Priss DeWitt, Director of Institutional Advancement

Priss DeWitt is an advancement professional with 23+ years of experience in development, marketing and admissions for Christian schools. She’s been involved in education as a parent, teacher, board member and administrator and holds multiple certifications in advancement sub-specialties from the Independent School Management Institute. Her passion for building community with volunteers, and fundraising began at the University of Florida where she served as both President of University Wives and Air Force Dames, responsible for organizing women to improve college camaraderie and fundraising to support UF goals. Later, concern about her son’s early childhood development led her to help start a K-12 Christian school in Atlanta. As a volunteer fundraiser for the first four years and then as Director of Development/Enrollment for over 14 years, she was responsible for building the office, staff, enrollment and development programs needed to raise the donations and students necessary to grow a school, (started in a leased six acre strip mall), into a school-owned, 35 acre campus with enrollment reaching 918. She returned home to Jacksonville in 2010, serving as Director of Institutional Advancement at a local Christian school with 1400 students for four years where she built an amazing volunteer network and helped secure a campus expansion of almost ten acres of wetlands.

She’s excited to begin building the relationships and amazing volunteers necessary to foster a family-like, Christian school community where helping every student reach their full potential is celebrated. Priss will continue her calling by cultivating a family-like community with a “culture of giving” of time, talents and funds to expand facilities on our 68 acre campus. She has been married for 45 years to Steve, a technology engineer, who she first met here in high school and at their church. Their son, Todd, graduated from college with a dual degree in Accounting/Finance and loves volunteering in sports. Go Lions!
