Testing New School Calendar with Fictitious “Test*” Sports Events Schedules

Caution: The new School Event Calendar is  being tested-Please IGNORE any sports or other events beginning with Test* in the name as they are fictitious events for testing and staff training.

A powerful new feature for out school and website is currently under implementation, and testing. It will ultimately display all school events and sports schedules throughout our website. Whether you need to know a sports team’s game schedules and venues, choral performances, or open houses, or all school activities for the month or upcoming week, the School Event Calendar will send the timely information to the appropriate pages on our website, automatically. It is already being used for our ALL School Calendar and VPK Calendars, showing holidays, exams, graduation, etc. and is now  being expanded to cover future sporting events and other activities. For now, some fictitious sporting events are being shown beginning with the words Test^ in order to finish implementing, testing and training staff on this new School Wide Consolidated Event Calendar Feature.

Meanwhile, please don’t show up for a Test* Basketball Game, etc. Thanks for understanding we are “Under Construction and Testing”.

Summer Programs

We have received several inquiries about the summer remediation classes in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry.  We realize that there was short notice regarding these classes. So, after speaking with Ms. Robinson, she has graciously agreed to begin our classes on June 19th.  These remediation classes will be held from 8:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

The first two weeks will begin on June 19th and end on June 29th.  We will take the week of July 3rd off and resume classes on July 10th through July 20th.  Please note that this is a 4 -day week with classes running for 4 weeks totaling 16 sessions.

Students may arrive between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. with classes beginning promptly at 8:00 a.m. Classes will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m. and students must be picked up by 11:30 a.m. Thanks again to Ms. Robinson’s graciousness as she has volunteered to provide her services for $200 per student for the 4 week session instead of the originally stated $300.

Impact Christian Academy students have increased their academic achievement by up to 13%. We know that no one wants to be in class over the summer months. However, it is the dedication of the faculty, students and parents that generate such impressive improvements.

If you would like to take advantage of these remediation classes, please email us at dpatterson@icajax.com no later than Tuesday, June 13th.  This will give Ms. Robinson time to prepare for these classes.
